Roughly 70% of entrepreneurs are married and at "high risk" for divorce.

Startup life ain’t for sissies. It’s for the tough, committed, adventurous, free-loving, and brave among us. Whether you’re the one lassoing ideas, or you're sprinting alongside your spouse as they go chasing down the next big thing, Love & Startups is here to help make startup life seem less daunting, less isolating, more fulfilling, and more rewarding.

Because, at the end of the day, your marriage will long outlast a business — or at least it should. We want to help make that happen, because marriage is a thrilling adventure. So is startup life. You can succeed at (and enjoy) both.

We strengthen marriages between entrepreneurs and non-entrepreneurs.

I'm Nicole. I've been married to an entrepreneur since 2005.

I fell in love with an entrepreneur and warily entered the world of startup life, not knowing all that it entailed. I quickly came to realize that there is no such thing as an overnight success, money in the bank is optional, and nothing is as unromantic as a candlelit dinner for one.

But I also came to the realization that my husband, Jonathan, is a serial entrepreneur. He is meant to start things again and again. I watched as this revelation gave me the freedom to support him and his ventures with openness and enthusiasm. I knew that other spouses longed for the same freedom, to be able to join in their entrepreneurial spouse's dreams, not resist or resent them. Out of this desire, Love & Startups was born — a place where couples navigating startup life can find useful resources, practical tools, camaraderie, hope, and encouragement.

Because startup life is hard, but your marriage doesn't have to be. Unicorn marriages can exist. Let me show you how.

In the opininion of the world, marriage ends all, as it does in a comedy. The truth is precisely the opposite: it begins all.
